Anyway, I did the work over a couple of hours at lunch (Chik-Fil-a), before class. To avoid spoilers, I’ll only give you the general synopsis of the stories and the beginning first paragraph.
Story 1: Manny- A security guard has his first chaotic night on the job working at a small, local mall.
Manny stared tight-lipped at the screen with the volume loud enough to be heard from the hall. Meteorologists forecasted a severe thunderstorm and the warning ran along the bottom of the screen. While nervous- oh come on, he said to himself- while terrified and weak to the knees, he found himself laughing at the situation. A storm raging on outside on his first night, a possible threat to the power; and to top it all off, SyFy running a marathon of zombie movies including Dawn of the Dead by George Romero and Zac Snyder (the original and remake, respectively) back to back. He had never seen them before but saw they were about a horde of zombies swarming malls. “How fitting,” he said to himself.
Story 2: Mr. No Face- Enticed by a dare, a young boy plays an infamous horror game and wins…
Nick woke up, sweating and breathless. It was midnight on his alarm clock. His mouth was dry and his tongue felt like toilet paper. He untangled himself from his sheets and got out of bed. Maybe he just needed water. Maybe the Slender Man is here, an inner voice teased. He shuddered. The Slender Man couldn’t fit under the bed because there was no space. But the closet- but the closet was closed- he looked at himself in the mirrored doors. Get some water.
